Italic type originated in the late 15th century and is still considered the basic style of writing. Simple, elegant forms and rich variability make Italic relevant and in demand for centuries. Italic is considered the basic handwritten font for learning calligraphy.
The prescriptions include ornamental exercises, letters, words, phrases, and texts for copying.
You can use various flat tools to work in the prescriptions: a flat nib, or a Pilot Parallel Pen, or a flat marker. These tools are interchangeable and can be combined - use one or all of them at once. The advantage of the Pilot Parallel Pen is its portability and the ability to write in any conditions (the pen is compact, the cap is screwed on and there is no need to dip it in ink), but it is the flat nib that allows you to immerse yourself in the meditative process of real calligraphy. To fully enjoy the writing process, we recommend trying different tools.
The scripts are written in two languages: Ukrainian and English.
Level of calligraphy: for beginners and those who already have skills but want to master a new style and flat nib. The best option for those who are just starting to get acquainted with calligraphy.
